We moved to the Naperville area in 1988, drawn by it's small town charm,
plentiful real estate, great schools and cozy neighborhoods.
Naperville offered us a quaint downtown area including historic real estate,
area parks and first rate restaurants. This wonderful community also offers
a speedy metro service to downtown Chicago and convenience to O'Hare &
Midway airports.
We have enjoyed the planned activities like "Ribfest" and "Last Fling", but
also (maybe especially) our spontaneous visits to the terrific Nichols
Library and the walks along the beautiful Naperville River Walk.
In 1977, I would visit friends "way out" in Naperville, it was a bustling
little town of about 42,000 residents and a lot of open real estate. When we
moved here it was a busy city of about 80,000 residents. Today, Naperville
has more than 130,000 residents and is expected to grow to more than
160,000.
Why do people relocate to the Naperville area?
Why do people decide to make their personal piece of Naperville real estate
their permanent home?
Probably for many of the same reasons that my family has.
